Zorba's Waterfront Motel

Lovely little motel with views of the bay. Time for a beer and a rest before exploring.

The girl at the front desk was bright, cheerful and very welcoming. I definitely recommend staying at Zorbas.

It's a bit of a miserable day but we're town hopping so the weather should keep the tourists away.

First breakfast. Blank Canvas is right next door to the hotel. We took a walk up to the end but after comparing prices and offerings, came back here. Of course someone probably should have listened to me to begin with.

Great service and great coffee . The Eggs Benedict with bacon was fantastic - one of the best I've had in a while. The eggs were perfect and it wasn't drowned in hollandaise sauce. And the bacon was cooked to perfection.

Mark had the Big Breakfast and finished the lot. Definitely worth the price as two clean plates is always better than plates with food left over. It may not be the cheapest, and it's definitely not the most expensive but for me it was worth the price.Read more

Lovely little town with lots of gorgeous little shops. Got myself a couple of new rings. I usually just look and admire because they are so expensive or way too small. But I managed to find two I liked and only $80 for both!

The purple one is Mojave turquoise and seems only fitting seeing as how the news that Prince died today came through the news this morning. The red one is ruby.Read more

Beer and a lovely conversation with a local from Muttamah. Who also lived in Cootamundra once upon a time. Mark said he's going to start calling me Coota - it seems I manage to find someone from there nearly everywhere we go.

On the way out of Dalgety, I spied an echidna wombeling across the road. By the time I got out of the car, he'd finished crossing and curled up. But I still had to get a photo.Read more

Our stop for tonight. Bit special as it's apparently our anniversary.

Unfortunately my steak was still mooing when I got it. Now I don't mind my steak a little rare but this was a little more blue. But apart from that little hiccup, it's been a lovely night.

One thing you don't get much in the city is the smell of woodsmoke. It's bloody cold but not as cold as it's going to be a couple of months from now. Lucky for me, I have a nice warm teddy bear to cuddle up to. It doesn't seem that 12 months ago I first met this wonderful man. But it has been a wonderful 12 months. I hope we have a lot of wonderful 12 months.Read more
