Zach and Marina Graduate tomorrow and we celebrate. We are all so proud and happy for them. They are incredibly sweet together.

John, Stephanie, Amy and I had dinner with them and listened to the excitement of trying to find a wedding venue.

We got to see some pictures of wedding dresses she is looking at.

Dawn, Kaitlin & Micah are joining us later tonight.

Pancake breakfast tomorrow overlooking the lake and some great family time before the ceremony, then BBQ.Read more

Getting a Doctorate degree in Chemistry at the University of Indiana takes hard work, dedication, and Time! These two have done it!! The Joy of Young People
May 10 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 63 °F
It is so gratifying to gather together in celebration. Smiles all around. Everybody is happy. We put our work lives on hold to savor these moments.

The day began with pancake breakfast followed by a relaxing morning leading up to the afternoon ceremony.

We sat at Assembly Hall waiting for the ceremony to begin, and it was a pleasant wait.

Fortunately, this was for masters and doctoral students only, so the crowd was reasonable.

Afterward, we gathered at the lake condo we rented and enjoyed BBQ and togetherness.

The kids opened graduation gifts and talked about the best and worst of the years and years of study.

It was a great day.Read more

The Wedding will be October 18th.

It was Graduation Day, but most of the conversation was about the wedding, venue shopping, dress shopping etc.

On Thursday they had not yet chosen a venue, and therefore did not have a date. They had been visiting venues all week. They actually went to look at a venue in Indianapolis in the morning before the graduation. And that was THE ONE!Read more
