Tea Plantation

Yeh, we finally went to a tea plantation which is the reason for going to Darjeeling . The ladies were actually picking the tea when we visited, which was great. My issue was that I really wanted to go to a tea plantation and factory which is what I believed the tour was to include. Guess what I was wrong as they are closed at this time of year according to the tour guide. I really cannot understand how a major Tea supplier does not operate all year round at the factory level anyway. I understand the tea picking is seasonal. Just another reason why Darjeeling is off my recommendation list.Read more
