    Jantar Mantar

    May 30, 2019 in India ⋅ ⛅ 44 °C

This is another area which is a disgrace, it has so much potential as a great tourist attraction but has been forgotten as so many things in India are.

Jantar Mantar dates back to 1724 and translates literally as" instruments formulae". The 13 structures are large architectural astronomy instruments used to make accurate observations for the purpose of predicting solar, lunar and planetary movements.

They really did not have any clear explanations on how the srtuctures worked which is a shame as John likes this sort of stuff.
