Fortuna Bay

The bay is 5km long and 1.6 wide. It is named after a Norwegian Whaling expedition and home to a colony of King Penguins. It is known as the site where Shackleton and 2 of his men descended and then crossed the beach towards the Whaling station Stromness on his final leg.Read more
