  • Dolphin Feeding

    May 15, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

A quick stop back in our room before heading back out again, this time to watch the feeding of the dolphins. Due to the weather of late only 4 dolphins came into Tangalooma. Charlie and Zach enjoyed watching the dolphins swimming around and being fed. When they are older I am sure they will love to be out in the water also feeding them.Read more

  • Sand Play

    May 16, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

As the mornings are a bit overcast and chilly we stayed near the unit in the morning, but that does not stop Charlie always creating wonderful memories. Today he was making breakfast and cup cakes on the footpath. Then I set up a sand play station so much easier for John to play and enjoy all the yummy treats Charlie was making.Read more

  • Tangalooma Wrecks

    May 16, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 24 °C

After lunch John, Melissa and Luke went for the 30min walk to the wrecks to do some snorkeling. The visibility was poor due to recent Brisbane flood waters entering Morton Bay.

  • Not really Pelican feeding

    May 17, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 23 °C

The morning activity was Pelican feeding, however, due to the Brisbane weather and flood waters the Pelicans are not coming to feed on Tangalooma. So instead the staff are feeding some of the older Cormorant Birds that live on the Island. A little disappointing but not really much we can do about it. The Wilson boys still enjoyed seeing the birds up close.Read more

  • Kayaks

Next it was time for kayaking. Luke took Charlie out on the kayak he really had fun. Then it was time for Melissa, I am sure it brought back lots of memories of her and Michael kayaking for hours.

  • Playtime

    May 17, 2022 in Australia ⋅ 🌧 23 °C

The afternoon was another opportunity for Charlie to be the centre of attention.

Whilst at the beach he collected shells, twigs, cuttlefish and seaweed. So his activity was playing with all the bits and pieces and just having fun.

Later in the afternoon Melissa, John and Charlie played cards and Zach enjoyed the sand station I set up.

  • Dinner and Trivia

    May 17, 2022 in Australia ⋅ 🌧 22 °C

The day finished with a yummy dinner at the restaurant and trivia. Team Charlie's Angel's (the name we gave ourselves) came in third. Some easy questions, some interesting ones and some hard ones we just got wrong.

Nevertheless a fun night was had by all and of course afterwards a Bedtime story from Pop.

    Bring on tomorrows activities.

The sunset was spectacular tonight. Not sure the photos really show just how incredible the pinks, reds, oranges were over the water.
