In Uspallata fallen uns zuerst die zahlreichen schönen Pappeln auf, deren Blätter schon leicht herbstlich verfärbt sind. An der YPF-Tankstelle kaufen wir einen großen Eisbecher und nutzen deren WLAN an den Picknicktischen. In der Hauptstraße finden wir einen Bäcker und können auch unseren Obst- und Gemüsevorrat wieder auffüllen, da wir ja nichts aus Chile einführen durften.
Danach fahren wir auf der RP13 zum Cerro Siete Colores. Beim etwa einstündigen Spaziergang sehen wir, dass die dunkelbraunen, weißen und roten Felsen gut farblich sortiert sind!
Unser Höhepunkt ist ein geführter zweistündiger Pferdeausritt durch Bäche und über Hügel mit wunderbarer Aussicht auf die Andengipfel etwas südlich von Uspallata für 12 € pro Person.
Auf dem gemütlichen Rasenplatz am Fluss blieben wir drei Nächte.

In Uspallata, the first thing we notice are the numerous beautiful poplar trees, whose leaves are already slightly colored in autumn. At the YPF gas station, we buy a large sundae and use their WiFi at the picnic tables. On the main street, we find a bakery and can also replenish our fruit and vegetable supplies, since we weren't allowed to bring anything in from Chile.
We then drive on the RP13 to Cerro Siete Colores. During the hour-long walk, we see that the dark brown, white and red rocks are well sorted by color!
Our highlight is a guided two-hour horse ride through streams and over hills with a wonderful view of the Andean peaks just south of Uspallata for €12 per person.
