    Arrived all ok at Chicago - but had the crappy process of having to collect my bag and then drop off on the transfer area - basically I think because the airport is too lazy to hire staff to transport so dumps it on the customer. Almost went through the wrong door but got through ok and looking forward to flight number 3Leer más

    Finally arrived at Columbus and once again picked up my bag, but being honest i knew I would have to here as that was the end of my first set of trips. Went and met Debs mum as I was also taking Debs large case on the trip as I had a second bag for free and she had a really short transfer, so we thought that it would just be easier if I took all the way through. Debs mum was fab as offered me a bed for the night, but knew I had a really early start so didnt think that was fair - so declined. I also had an item on my bucket list that I had always wanted to sleep in an airport overnight - so thought this was a good time to try.Leer más

    Went into the seating area and realised there was basically nothing there, but did find a hlaf comfy seat with power - so that was something, but also realised that I now had to look after 2 large bags and my camera bag - not easy when you need the loo lol.
    Check in in the morning was fun as the desk didnt open for ages, then had issues finding flights, then had nightmare people in front. Finally got to the front and found that I would have to collect my bag again and check in at each stage - that was going to be fun - why oh why is a country like america so rubbish at simple airport tasks.     Arrived in Miami and checked in bag ok. It was a bit rubbish as I should have planned something as actually had 8 hours here - but with the 3 before check in gave it a miss - but of course the flight got delayed by a couple of hours - so yep over 10 hours in the airport - fun fun fun - not!!!Leer más

    Arrived in port of spain and met up with Debs. Debs had booked an overnight bird trip, which yes does sound a little crazy, but we met up with Roger the guide and have to say had a good trip, not loads of birds but did see a few - nice to see a barn owl and a nightjar - but also got to see some green tree snakes - that were def cool. Plus way better than sitting in another airport.Leer más

    Back to the airport then for a 6am flight -got stung with a small charge for second bag but couldnt really then say bag not mine and got Deb to check in as would have looked very dodgy.
    Whilst waiting for the flight I gave Deb the Guyana book I had created and she seemed to love. Yay all set for flight number 6Leer más
