Iguazú Falls - Day 1 (Triple Frontera)

    January 17, 2020 in Brazil ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

Marlou and I bought the bus tickets to Iguazu a few days before and thought we had made a good deal, because we had saved around 500 pesos per ticket. 😎

On the day of departure, the lady who sold us the tickets and another employee were waiting for us at the bus station. They wanted the money back because it was a mistake and they would have made a loss. 😵😰

We had no other choice, otherwise, we couldn't have taken the bus, so we paid.😠

We left in the evening and arrived in Puerto Iguazú around noon the next day, after almost 17 hours of driving. We had booked the Poramba hostel for the next few days, brought our things there and bought groceries.

Since it was too late for the parks, we went quickly into the pool and then walked in the evening to the Triple Frontera (Spanish for tri-border region or triple border). It is the border area between the three countries Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.

We took pictures, chilled a while and watched a little show before we walked back to the hostel.🥰
