    SOUTH AFRICA

    April 29, 2018 in South Africa ⋅ 🌙 15 °C

Last country on our tour of Africa was South Africa. We pretty much just headed straight to Cape Town and spent a few days here. Most of the activities in Cape Town are weather dependant meaning we had to wait until we got the go ahead for most activities. We were really keen to do shark cage diving but it was cancelled the day before we were due to go out.
We then decided to visit Robben Island and as we were due to board the ferry it was also cancelled. Luckily they let us join the group heading out the next morning. Robben island is where Nelson Mandela was held prisoner for 27 years and was very interesting to see. We even got to see the tiny cell he was kept in.
The final activity we did was Table Mountain - again we had to wait for a break in the clouds for them to open the mountain and decided to get the cable car up and down instead of walking in case they closed it early. The views were amazing and it was a great way to finish our trip.
