Arrived at Parkes

Back on the road to Parkes today with lots of interesting sites and towns along the way. Great silo art at Weethale, zoom in and have a look at the sheep in the top window, driving past at 1st it actually looked like sheep up there, Weethale was pretty much a ghost town with lots of abandoned and derelict buildings with the only one operating being a old house / cafe called "Road Kill Grillz" with wacky animal statues out the front, so needless to say we didn't stop there and eat 🙄, have seen lots of emus in these parts, have to really watch the roads (speaking of roadkill). Stopped at a great little bakery in West Wyalong for smoko and on through Forbes and finally Parkes, the home of Elvis lovers, nice neat little town, lots of heritage. Very cool/cold and bleak here tonight, just set up and bunkered down for the night, head through to Armidale tomorrow 🙂Read more
