Les Eyzies - Kayaking pt 2

Despite worrying about the presence of the emergency light on the 18 year old car (‘Das Boot’) breakfast was smashed, as per usual. Sam embarked on a trip to Le Bugue to square away some engine coolant.

Our activity for the day was kayaking, on the Vèzere river this time. This company was more relaxed and personal. We also met Biscuit the adventure Chihuahua. We did have some initial
Double kayak issues but lovely scenery and tranquility of the water assuaged these. We saw some ‘wild’ donkeys!

After this, we had a few minutes to book our accommodation for the next day and wonder at the myriad of items at the intermarchè!

Late in the evening we set off to our evening stay (1hr away). Huffing over a map in the village square with no signal we accosted an old man walking back from card game to help. Somewhere 3km away and behind farm houses we bunkered down in an ‘all-in-one’ cocoon situation.Read more
