Alison J Ancient olive trunk. We also saw a 1500 year old olive tree that still bears fruit, but my photo of it wasn't great. Mary Magdalene is believed to have planted it.

Alison J Every farmer piles their bags of olives in the parking lot, labeled with their name. They get a call when the oil is being pressed, and come back to pick up 90% of the resulting oil. The mill takes 10% of the oil as payment. No money changes hands at all.
Alison J Damn, the ship's leaving without us. Just kidding. But the ride to and from the ship via the tender boat was an adventure in itself. I got a taste of sea water. Salty.
