    The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

    Today’s the day!!!! I was just a little bit excited walking to the front gates of universal. We had one hour early entry because we were staying at a universal resort which was awesome!!!!
    Straight to Diagon Alley we went!! It was magical!! I felt just like I was in the movie itself. It wasn’t too busy so we were able to get good photos without many people around.
    First stop Ollivanders to get myself the interactive wand and I chose Hermione’s. Then we headed off to Gringotts Escape before the lines got too long and that was fun! This is a similar ride to the castle one Mum, you would have enjoyed. The best part was we wore 3D glasses that looked like Quidditch goggles 🤗
    Then it was time to be a witch and cast some spells around Diagon Alley. It was so much fun and then I really felt like Hermione!!! I struggled to use it to begin with😂 but a fellow little witch (like 7 yrs old) helped me out and I was set for the day. It was so exciting and fun when it worked. Thanks Sheree for the heads up to do this first because once it got crowded it would have bee a pain to do & wait & not as much fun!
    We did some window shopping as we walked around. We would be back to spend our gallons. We couldn’t not get some butter beer ice cream though when we went past the ice cream shop - delicious!!

    Next it was time to board the Hogwarts Express to Hogsmeade. They had train conductors and everything, dressed the part. It was so much better than I thought it could be. The inside of the carriages was just like the mouse and the windows played videos so it was like you were travelling through the wizarding world.
    Time for some butter beer, but they didn’t have the frozen one at the cart so I was a bit disappointed. It wasn’t as nice as the slushy version. Some more spells were cast here at Hogsmeade and then it was time to go to Hogwarts. The castle ride was so much fun - the dementors still scary as last time and I knew they were coming 😂
    We ate lunch at The Hogs Head and I finally got my frozen butter beer 🥳🥳🥳🥳 Just as good as I remembered!

    Sadly it was time to leave Harry Potter for now. We thought we’d better check out the rest of the park for a bit. We went on Jurassic Park, King Kong - which we waited 40 minutes for and thought it was rubbish unfortunately, Spider-Man 3D which was great, Hulk Rollercoaster which I loved! And the Dr Doom drop ride.

    Back to Kings Cross Station to ride back to the other park. It was a different experience again (different videos) so glad we went both ways. We went on the Rock n Roll rollercoaster which went up and down the massive hill, pretty much straight up and that was scarier than going down. Also checked out Shrek 4D and the fast and furious ride.
    Then it was back to Diagon Alley to shop for school supplies 🙊 Had some pizza for dinner and then caught the Hogwarts Express for one final time back to hogsmeade for a bit more shopping and then the light show at 8:30. The light show on the Castle was AMAZING!! It made my night and completed the Harry Potter fun so well!
    As we made our way out of universal Sarah had one more thing to buy but I was done!!!! I had sore feet and was absolutely buggered!!!! But it was so worth it for a truly magical day!!!!    Les mer

    Gator Park & Airboat Ride

    We were supposed to be doing a 2.5 airboat ride and checking out the alligators at wild Florida. Yesterday when we rang to confirm they said they would pick us up at 8 and we wouldn’t get picked up at the alligator place until 1. We weren’t happy because we thought we could do the boat and head to Disney and still have half a day there but guess not.
    We got picked up at another hotel down the road we had to make our way to. 45 mins on a bus picking up a few others along the way. Then had to get on another bus. Another 45 minutes. Get to the alligator place at 9:30 and find out the boat ride isn’t until 11:30 😱
    So we really weren’t happy at this point.
    We tried to make the most of it - threw some food at the gators and checked out the other animals around.
    We headed to the dock at 11:15 like we were told to and were greeted by all these bugs! It was insane! Like hundreds of these stupid love bugs - they are dumb too!! Didn’t get the boat moving until 11:45. I hour on the boat. It was good - not really worth all the waiting and waste of a day that came with it, but it was fun! Only saw some small gators - thought we would see bigger.
    Didn’t get back to our universal hotel until 2 - and we dropped everyone off along the way including us at our actual hotel - so we had no idea why the long and difficult transfer in the morning.
    Had lunch and then taxi to Disney - art of animation. Little mermaid room! Just awesome! Everything was themed and we even had an Ariel shower curtain!!

    Headed to the pool to relax and swim
    Disney Springs for dinner and shopping - used to be Downtown Disney - a lot bigger now and more shops (not just Disney related). Did a lot of shopping but that would save us at the parks, from worrying too much!
    We had dinner at Earl of Sandwich which was delicious as always!
    Back to the hotel ready for tomorrow!!    Les mer

    Magic Kingdom

    Magic kingdom was Magic!!!!!!
    We have extra magic hours because we were staying in a Disney resort which meant we ended up having a 14 hour day at Disney!

    Disney fun

    Next up was Ariel’s grotto ride which was cute! More photos with the castle
    A carousel ride because that seems to be our thing. We watched a 3D movie Philamagic which had little snippets from Disney movies. Disney was soooooo hot so this was s chance for a nice break inside in the aircon
    Time to meet Mickey & Minnie and we were star struck
    We planned to go on splash mountain next but it was broken so time for lunch break

    Making plans

    They have a Disney app which shows all the wait times, had a map and let’s you organise your fast passes but we still grabbed a paper map and bought a princess pen so we could make a plan and tick things off

    We used our first fast pass for Space Mountain. Just as fun as we remembered, it’s all in the dark so you don’t know where youre going. Then it was time for a popcorn snack and of course we bought the refillable bucket as we knew we’d want more later.

    We watched a small concert that was on at the castle and took more photos. Then we went on the Dumbo ride! They have a really cool waiting area where they give you a buzzer and you can play while you wait for your turn.

    7 dwarves & Alice in Wonderland

    Seven dwarves mine train was our first ride of the day. The wait was only 35 minutes compared to 60 it said it would be. It Was fun! They even Videoed of part of ride (like ride photos). We went on the Winnie the Pooh ride & the spinning tea cups. We lined up for Alice in wonderland - we didn’t wanna make small talk about mushrooms making us taller or shorter but we wanted the photoLes mer

    Frozen

    Frozen was great - had live characters and played scenes from the movie with karaoke words on the screen. It was cute
    Met Olaf after the show and grabbed a picture
    Some Star Wars simulator was next - it was okay but pretty old compared to other rides we’ve been on.
    Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular show was next but it was a shit version of Movie Worlds Police Academy and we did t last long so it was time for a lunch break!    Les mer

    Next was our fast pass for Aerosmith Rock n Roller Coaster and thank goodness cause the wait was 85 minutes.
    Beauty and the Beast live on stage was next - like Frozen, a summed up version of the story with all the best songs.
    This park is more about the shows rather than the rides
    We watched a Cars, little mermaid and muppets show
    Back to Toy Story Land to conquer the long line for the roller coaster!!!    Les mer

    Toy Story Land

    First we saw woody & Jessie so lined up to get a photo with them!!!
    Sarah had a Jessie sticker on her shirt so poor Woody got a bit upset! But I told him I liked him so he was happy 😂
    Lining up for Slinky Dog, sign said it would be an 80minute wait but who knows if we’d be back again so.....
    60 minute wait. It was fun but I don’t know that it was worth the wait - I definitely wouldn’t have wanted to wait any longer!! Pretty slow
    We were gonna check out the Walt Disney stuff but it had closed, now 7pm. We were wiped, no patience to wait 95 minutes for tower of terror and we had both done it in the past so we headed to the buses to make our way to Disney Springs for dinner.
    After another long, hot day, a chocolate fudge brownie sundae finished off the day nicely    Les mer

    Day 2 Disney - Hollywood Studios

    First stop was breakfast at the hotel which consisted of chocolate chip pancakes which were delicious
    On the bus we go off to Hollywood Studios
    First ride of the day was gonna be Slinky Dog Dash, the new roller coaster in the new Toy Story Land but the line was supposedly already 90mins long and we had Frozen Sing Along at 10. So we went on Toy Story Mania instead which was great fun - you jump in a little cart and then play like a shooting game, shooting targets along the way.
    Had some time to kill so we tried to plan our day around our fast passes.    Les mer

    Next we started to make our way around the world of Epcot. First stop was Norway. We got photos with Anna and Elsa and then went on the Frozen ride which was great. Then it was time to eat and drink our way around Epcot - Germany, Italy, France, Canada, USA, Mexico, Japan & China!Les mer

    Day 3 Epcot

    Today was Epcot. I didn’t like it much last time but thought I’d give it another chance and Sarah hadn’t been so off we went. Let’s just say I wouldn’t go back again!
    We were there just before it opened so had to wait a bit for the gates to open once going through security! Don’t take a backpack unless you really really have to, the bag search takes forever!
    First ride was test track. We didn’t really know what it was but knew that rhe wait could get up to 2 hours so we went there first. It was actually pretty cool. You designed your own race car and then got into one and was like you were going on a test drive. It went super fast and was fun! We loved all the flower topiaries of all the Disney characters!!     Animal Kingdom

    Our last day in Disney 😢
    But we started off the day with a character breakfast buffet at The Beach Club Resort. Sarah & I we’re lucky and got escorted in by Minnie Mouse!!
    We had choc chips pancakes, strawberries & cream, bacon & eggs, chocolate croissants & Mickey shaped waffles!!!! And we got to say hi to Goofy, Donald & Daisy as well 🥰

    Then it was off to Animal Kingdom!    Les mer
