Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic

One-day bus trip to a fortress that was active in the seventeen hundreds, and then abandoned for some 300 years. It was restored (rebuilt) early last century as an active educational site. There were many period reinactors, and much to see. It included one in period costume with a mask. The jail was brutal with leg irons and all.
