Khao Sok National Park

Our day started watching a cheeky monkey eating some chocolates he'd got from somewhere! We took advantage of taking the day at a slower pace and at breakfast I couldn't escape the little girl who refused to let me put her down! We got a lift from Mr Tawee to the national park and paid 200 baht each to go on our jungle trek. Here we saw the tail of a snake, many lizards and heard all sorts of creatures! We decided to rebel and go beyond the point which said you needed a guide and made it to one Waterfall and refreshed our sweaty selves! It was a tough walk due to the heat but felt good to do some exercise and we rewarded ourselves with a beer. Mr Tawee picked us up along with another couple who'd been feeding the monkeys. In the evening we went into the village and ate at Pawn's restaurant and had Thai curry. Khao Sok was never on the original list but we both loved it here and could spend much longer here (if we had the money!)Read more
