Days 34 & 35: Traveling home

Left León after a leisurely breakfast of leftover crackers and juice
Walked to the bus station, just like we did with A&E a couple of days ago
Got there in time for a pastry & coffee
Bus headed out on time. Joe accurately predicted when I'd fall asleep. 😴😴
Woke up when we pulled into Ponferrada and was awake for the next 4 hr leg.
Hills got big; skies turned rainy
Got to see the coastal town of A Coruña before dark
Found our way in Santiago to our pensión. After a beer & chips, we decided just to head to bed.

Got a taxi to the airport, which wasn't an easy thing to do without phone service! Joe spotted a phone on the reception desk, and the rest was a slam dunk.

In the SdC airport now, ready to head to the gate after a last tortilla and cafe con leche.Read more
