Coober Pedy & desert oak roadside camp

Had a bit of a look around Coober Pedy and went into the old mine museum which was interesting- hard work in the old days. Landscape is a mass of dirt hills. We’re about 150k from Alice, overnighting at another roadside camp. The road runs between a couple of sand dunes and the camp is not far off the road. When you’re lying in bed you can hear the road trains coming from a distance and as they get closer they get noisier and noisier with the sound echoing off the dunes. It sounds like an aeroplane landing and you have your tent set up beside the runway.Baca selengkapnya
