• About a Boat

    17. april, Spanien ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C

The boat's name is the World Navigator. There's a little less than 150 guests and about as many staff members. Apparently it's almost a one-to-one ratio.

The very top deck number seven has a playground that Hazel would absolutely drool over. AKA, a helicopter pad, a walking jogging track with various exercise equipment welded into floor, it's all open air. ( Pictures with captions explaining Hazel potential hazards will follow ) The deck below that, that you can look down into from deck 7 has a small pool, two hot tubs and various lounging spots surrounding it, as well as a bar and ice cream trolley.

    We are on deck 6

Deck 4 is where most of the action is. There is a theater, a couple big sitting rooms or lounges, a small coffee type restaurant that's open most of the day. The pecan pie is freaking amazing. This is also where the huge dining room is along with the front desk.

This particular ship spends half the year in Europe during the summer and in the winter it goes to Antarctica. It takes 26 days to get from Antarctica to Europe. They do this route two times a year. It's only staff that are on board. Staff have better hours when there are no clients, there are scheduled events throughout the journey, and they're able to use the big client dining room.

One of the videos below is of a little yellow boat right up against our boat. This is the harbor Master. He hops in and hops off like literally jumps from one boat to the other. When we leave the harbor he hops on and does the actual driving of the boat. Same when the boat leaves. But he freaking jumps from one to the other. It's nuts.

The rooms are very comfortable but the beds are hard as a rock we had ask.formattress toppers. Nancy had to get two. That they even had that as an option blew my mind. They are also incredibly narrow. Like dumb narrow. I'm thinking that kidlets crib was about that wide.

Mom and I are having a lot of fun arguing over the thermostat. She likes to keep everything closed and the heat on. I like to have the windows open to keep it cool. So whoever's in here alone tends to get the room to the right temperature until the other one comes back. Lol

Buffet style, breakfast and lunch. At night. They have a couple options but it's four course meal. Of course. Very small portions. And most of it. Things mom and I have never even heard of. Most of it's not bad. But I don't think I'm sophisticated enough to understand why people are going crazy over it.
