Slovenia

We arrived in Lake Bled on Monday night. On Tuesday we wondered down to the lake & took the Ponte boat across to the island, very relaxing boat trip getting rowed across which took 20mins. The boats are the same design used in this region since 1600's. In the afternoon we hired some e-bikes & spent a few hours exploring all the little alpine villages in the area. Next day was a bit wet so we browsed the shops & then did a cooking class making the famous vanilla cake. This was at a local lady's house & she had a great set up as she also does other classes. Her son is in NZ at moment ski instructing at Mt Hutt so she asked lots of questions about NZ. Overall Lake Bled reminded me of a mini Taupo & we thought Slovenia was a very clean country with lots of pride in its appearance unlike some other places we've been.
