Taman Sari

After a short walk from the restaurant we arrived at Taman Sari, the site of a former royal garden of the Sultanate within the grounds of the Kraton. It was a bathing area for the Sultan's wives with change rooms and separate pools for the main wife and the other wives. It was under development and so had no water in the pools but we could imagine how it was back in 1758 when it was built.Read more
