Wayang Kulit Performance

Last night we went out to dinner and then to the Wayang Kulit Performance. Wayang Kulit is a very famous and important puppet show where you can either watch the side where the man controlling the puppets sits and uses colorful puppets or you watch from the other side and see a shadow puppet show. Or you can walk back and forth which is what we did.

The puppeteer was supported by 4 ladies singing and a gamelan orchestra but he does the story including singing and uses his foot to crash the cymbals. We saw him wipe the sweat from his face several times so it must be hard work!Read more
