En realidad the final day in BA

Second try of my flight from BA to Houston. Spend on last nostalgic morning and noon working around downtown BA. Visited the delicous Güerrin Pizzeria again. One last helado.

Familiar faces on the flight from the day before. This time the start was delayed by 2 1/2 hours because of an inside door for the crew rest room not working properly. People were were booing and shouting. After not being able to fix the door, three passengers from the 1st class needed to move to economy in order for the crew to have alternative space in front of the aircraft. Each of the three passengers would get 1500$ and a refunded ticket (only paying economy class). Those three were quickly found and subsequently applauded. Otherwise the flight would have had to be cancelled again. But still, the flight would not start. Maintenance crew requested to come back and repair the initial crew door because it represented a fire hazard. Otherwise the plane would not be allowed to start. Alright. They actually managed to do the repairs (making the previous swap not necessary anymore). Applause again. Plane finally starts. And the 9hr flight begins.Read more
