City of 7 Hills

Yes, Lisbon is know as the city of 7 hills, I think we hit all of them and more. After Saturday's rain, I opened the curtains to see a double rainbow. Morning excursion took us to Monastery St. Jerome, Torre de Belem, and Padroa dos Descobrimentos; for all those who went on to discover other parts of the world.
Back to the hotel for a lunch of goodies from the local Aldi: bread, cheeses, salami, crackers and couple bottles of Portuguese wine. Relaxed, played cards then headed out for dinner. Great recommendation from our tour guide, Valentinas- best grilled chicken we have had in a long time. Hotel for a night time drink and off to bed. Tomorrow will have plenty of adventures.Read more
