  • Franklin Mtns State Park

    February 9, 2021 in the United States ⋅ ⛅ 61 °F

It’s desolate and beautiful here in Franklin Mountains SP near El Paso. Radiator in the truck cracked with 8 miles to go. We knew there was an issue. Thankfully, we are near an actual city. We found a guy that will fix it tomorrow. Here’s hoping the repair will be easy. 🤞🏼🤞🏼Read more

  • Shakespeare Ghost Town

    February 12, 2021 in the United States ⋅ ☁️ 55 °F

Hello New Mexico! Staying at a Harvest Host near Lordsburg, NM. Rolled through at a unique and somber moment. At the time, we didn’t know what it was for but it was a memorial for a recently fallen officer that was shot on I-10. The entire town lined the streets like a parade. Cars and trucks with American flags, officers in uniform, all emergency vehicles lined up with flashing lights in honor and respect. ❤️❤️❤️ The ghost town HH stay has proven itself to be more than anticipated too. It’s eerie...as it should be I guess.Read more

  • Desert Sanctuary aka 60’s Commune✌

    February 14, 2021 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 43 °F

This place is awesome! It’s an old hang out of Timothy Leary. A 1960’s commune that was left to ruins until current owner, Dana, bought it as a labor of love. He has restored the main buildings, built outdoor showers and done much more. Truly a sanctuary in the desert with all the peace, love and good vibes one could want.Read more

Got to see a dear friend of ours last night. Hope to see more of her in the next two weeks! Another friend mailed me a gift. If that’s what you want to call it. Shattered glass (plastic really) jigsaw puzzle. Oh, and we got our solar set-up delivered!!!Read more

  • Catalina SP, Mount Lemmon, Solar Power

    February 26, 2021 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 61 °F

Spent the week at Catalina SP and loved this place so much. Tyson got to cycle up & down Mount Lemmon, eat In & Out Burger, mtn bike with his buddy Steffan, and buy new hiking boots. I got to shop at Trader Joe’s, hike and mtn bike around the campground, scout out Oro Valley via their paved bike paths, and have a friend set-up camp with us. And we discovered Total Wine, an alcoholic beverage store that’s beyond awesome. Oh, and we got to test out the new solar power panels!! Easy peasy set-up.Read more

  • Gila Bend pit stop at a fancy RV place

    February 28, 2021 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 52 °F

We are willing to splurge at an RV park when they have
    1. Laundry facilities and
    2. Dog wash station
This place has been the nicest one we’ve stayed at so far. So nice that we decided to stay for a second night. Side note: I don’t know how small city folks survive off of Dollar General stores being the only food market. All of it is unhealthy (typed while eating Takis Fuego Mini Bites). Maybe I’ll do chair yoga tomorrow at 8:45am to offset my poor food choices. Walking aerobics sounds right up my alley too.Read more

  • Lake Havasu SP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    March 12, 2021 in the United States ⋅ 🌧 61 °F

Water, sunset, boats, beaches, mountains, desert, tiki bars...yes please. Havasu means “blue-green water”, from ha “water” & vasu “blue”. Amy is in her happy place. 🥰🌊⛵️🍹Tyson is enjoying Sara park mtn bike trails so much that he decided to take some bruises with him to the next stop.🤣Read more

  • McDowell Mtn Regional Park

    March 20, 2021 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 77 °F

Thankful we got in for the few days we did. Such fun mtn biking. Had to set our alarm for the first time since starting this trip so we could get early starts before the 80+ degree weather. Oh and new tires for the truck. Drives like a dream. Bought myself a new pair of mtn biking shorts and bibs too. Trying to look the part. 🤪😂Read more

  • Dead Horse Ranch SP in Cottonwood, AZ

    March 27, 2021 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 61 °F

“The story of the park's name begins with the Ireys family, who came to Arizona from Minnesota looking for a ranch to buy in the late 1940s. At one of the ranches they discovered a large dead horse lying by the road. After two days of viewing ranches, Dad Ireys asked the kids which ranch they liked the best. The kids said, “the one with the dead horse, dad!” The Ireys family chose the name Dead Horse Ranch and later, in 1973, when Arizona State Parks acquired the park, the Ireys made retaining the name a condition of sale.”-AZ State Parks AppRead more

  • It’s Pronounced Pres-kitt.

    March 29, 2021 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 55 °F

We both agree that we really like this area. It’s a little bit of everything. They have Trader Joe’s which makes me happy. Tyson says four bicycle stores is a good sign. Two days isn’t enough. A must return and stay for at least a week kind of town. White Spar campground is awesome-Site 18. Secluded (bear country again) yet we could bike to downtown. Hiking and biking for days. Watson Lake and Flume trail hike 👍🏼👍🏼Read more

  • Sedona BLM boondocking

    April 2, 2021 in the United States ⋅ 🌙 66 °F

Boondocking in Sedona. Tyson is in mountain biking heaven. It is beautiful here. I’m enjoying the bike trails too but there’s not much for beginners. The town of Sedona is stupid busy. Busier than any place we’ve visited thus far. Not sure if it’s Spring Break or Sedona. Either way, crowds and traffic jams are annoying so we’re happy to take to the trails and let the rest of the population shop, eat and tool around the city center.Read more
