    First Adventure of the Year

    March 10, 2023 in England ⋅ 🌬 6 °C

My first adventure of the year is underway!
Funny enough it's also the 1 year anniversary of my Lisbon trip (first trip without parents).
My friend and I only decided to do this yesterday.
Technically this is also my first proper time using this app as well so should be a fun day.Read more

  • The Beginning

    March 10, 2023 in England ⋅ 🌧 4 °C

Sally was there early so when I arrived she ran and hugged me.
She brought me a cup of tea while we waited for our train.
I can tell that today was going to be a cold and wet one.
I'm happy that she finally hasn't let me down this time like she has in the past, we even had bit of a heart to heart.
She said that she was building my trust back up, which is nice.
We didn't wait long till out train arrived to take us to Ashford International.

  • True Crime Museum

    March 10, 2023 in England ⋅ 🌬 4 °C

Off the bus, across the street and straight into the True Crime Museum,
At first I was abit nervous going into the museum because I didn't know what to expect but ended up enjoying it even thought it was very cold in there because its in a cave.
The guy behind the desk was very nice and helpful.
I got a few things because of course.
    * Black cat plush
    * ouija earrings and necklace
    * a book on seriel killers.

  • Monellis

    March 10, 2023 in England ⋅ 🌬 5 °C

After getting creeped out a bit in the museum, it was time for lunch.
We walked to the Old Town where we came across a cute, little Italian restaurant called Monellis.
I said I can speak a little Italian and he said "do you want to order in italian?" So I said yes and ordered.
The couple who owned it were lovely and we talk a bit about Gino D'acampo a little and how their sourdough was 100 years old.
It's nice to see that I can order and even say " I like learning and I want to go to Italy" in broken italian and kinda half English but the faces of the locals make it so worth it!

  • Old Town

    March 10, 2023 in England ⋅ 🌧 9 °C

After lunch, we walked through Old Town and looked at some of the shops, we went into a little local bookshop and talked to the guy for a while (he was Greek)
We made our way to our next destination: The Fisherman Museum.
It was a cute, free museum with a big boat you can go on, it only took us about 10 minutes to go round.

  • Home Sweet Home

    March 10, 2023 in England ⋅ ☁️ 8 °C

We did everything that we wanted to do plus walked around town a little bit but there wasn't much to do.
While we were walking, we asked a nice lady where the train station was and we walked and talked until we went our separate ways.
We waited about half an hour in the cold waiting for our train to arrive.
When we got to Ashford after our first train from Hastings, we had to wait a while longer for our train to Folkestone came.
Buttercup was happy to see me home and wanted to see what I got at the True Crime Museum.

    All in all,
I had a lovely day because I didn't know if it would even happen and I glad it did.
It's good that Sally can keep a promise and loved that I could speak a bit of Italian.
