    100 mile Gravel to Plant a tree

    I wrote 100 miles of gravel over to Marshalltown. It would’ve been my dad’s 85th birthday. We surprise my mom by arranging a tree planting at the college he taught at for nearly 50 years. The day was super hot, and this made for a tough ride.Read more

    TravelerWhat a hot ride, i didn’t know you rode over! No wonder you acted a little weird and needed a shower before going to plant the surprise tree. That was certainly a perfect thing as a remembrance. Every year dad contributed to Arbor Day. He loved trees.
