Wairakei Terraces & Thermal pools

This morning we cycled to Wairakei Terraces & thermal health spa. When we arrived it was empty we had the natural hot thermal pools to ourselves. I guess that's one good thing about lockdown most of the tourists have gone! There were 4 different mineral pools all different temperatures. The top one was 46 degrees! You couldn't sit in it for long. The others were about 37 degrees. It was such a beautiful place. We spent most the day there swimming, relaxing and reading. It only cost $25 for entry which is a lot cheaper than what you would pay for a spa at home.Read more
