Ahaura

What was supposed to be an overnight stay in a camp became a three-day stay at the end. Our friend from Auckland was on his way down south and we met him here as well.
Awesome camp with all the facilities a camper needs. Fully equiped kitchen, toilets and hot showers, even laundry. Also fireplace stocked up with wood so we made food on open fire every night. There is a big grassy field here amazing for kids play (well, not only kids ;) ). And the whole area smelled after mint! What a dream!
Short walking distance to the river where we dipped. Wasn't warm but super refreshing!
On the way to the river by the stairs their is a little fairy village. Oh and close by there is a bamboo forest, the kids loved playing there! Simply a perfect place to camp looked after by local community. Thank you!Read more
