Prague

Finally arrived in Prague at the Lippert Hotel about 7pm. Cheryl met us with a glass of wine and we caught up on all our travels. It is 7700km from Calgary to Frankfurt, as the plane flies, not sure how far from Frankfurt to Prague - maybe 800km. This morning we all met up for breakfast at the hotel and did a short walk to a nearby mall - very modern, 4 levels with all the local and international shops. At 11 we met our guide for the walking tour. It is 4 hours, with a short break for lunch. Den and Paul have chosen to do all today. The rest of us opted to do the second half tomorrow. Very interesting with all the rich history of this very old city. Saw Old Town, New Town and the Jewish Quarter. We had a nice lunch at a nearby outdoor cafe. Beautiful day, it's a pleasant 27C today, though chilly in the morning at 8am! We will all meet up again later as we have a river boat cruise and dinner planned. More later!Read more
