Granville Island.

We had a full day exploring more of Vancouver today. One of our favourite places was Granville Island.

According to a local tourism website: "This large sandbar and former industrial site is now a posh, artsy neighborhood filled with quaint shops, eateries, breweries, and year-round arts and cultural festivals. Located in False Creek, it’s famous for the Granville Island Public Market where you can get fresh produce, gourmet food, and artisanal handicrafts."

The last 2 photos were of Chinatown and Gastown where there is a steam clock. It's the world's second steam powered clock and one of few in the world. It sounds the Westminster “chime” and hisses vapour every 15mins. (The clock's mechanism is actually driven by electricity; only the pipes on top are steam fuelled!)Read more
