Waking Up in a Snow Globe

After our Persian-style start to 2026, we only slept a few hours – and then woke up to 40–50 cm of fresh snow on New Year’s Day. We were instantly like kids again, desperate to build a snowman ⛄️🤷🏼‍♂️.

As every good first day of the year should be, it was filled with food, family and endless rounds of UNO. In between, a long walk through the snowy landscape along one of Sweden’s many lakes helped us burn at least some of the calories.
