• From Frozen Mines to Italian Wine

    3 janvier, Suède ⋅ ☁️ -8 °C

The third day of the year greeted us with yet another blast of snow and cold. A shower without hot water wasn’t exactly the highlight, but Puya put his legendary complaining skills to good use – and suddenly we didn’t have to pay for the sauna or the bed linen. Result: just €40 per person per night. Absolute bargain, if you ask me.

On our way back south we stopped at the Falu Gruva, the historic copper mine of Falun. Once one of the most important copper mines in the world, it’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site – and judging by our frozen fingers in the videos, probably also the coldest place in Europe 🥶.

To thaw out, we paid another visit to our favourite warm lady in Stockholm before ending the trip at our go-to Italian restaurant for one last family dinner – perfect for collecting a few final calories before heading back to Germany.
