Dinner date

Bec and I met in Albany last week and as a native victorian, she insisted we meet so she could show me about some more of Melbourne.

We had the intention of travelling out of the city ot a nature reserve full of hills and incredible sunset views. Unfortunately, the weather did as Melbourne is so prone to do out of summer, it rained.

So we switched up our plans and went for dinner instead. She had been wanting to try a new burger place so I was her victim for that excursion. The restaurant is on top of a building in train carriages. The view from the top of the setting sun was very nice, the burger better. The restaurant felt very eccentric and exactly what I would expect for that area of Melbourne.

After we did a tour of the suburbs in her car. We found a lookout over the city and despite the hazy mist, the lights of the city could be seen clearly. The trees of the park framed the city and blocked out the industrial park off to the side.

We then headed back into the city and went to a Costco. It was quite something. Somehow a mix of lidl and IKEA but worse. Massive bulk buying for cheap.very american and a very strange experience. And of course, we had to get dessert. This was an icecream but it was soft serve so more like a mr. whippy with a berry coulis. Surprisingly ok for what it was.

Bec is moving to england in a few months so we made a pact to meet again over there.Læs mere
