Beach walk

There is a long walk that goes along the length of the coast for a couple km. The painted rocks is the sort of start, then it extends south.

Town beach is stunning. There were a bunch of people doing a body boarding competion. I was not aware that were was more to body boarding than just riding the wave in, similar to surfing. But there were people doing spins and all sorts. I was impressed.

The rocks protrude into the water making some shallow spots good for swimming with kids. Behind the rocks further out were the pro surfers. Now they are cool to watch.

There is also a lookout above between the Town beach and Oxley beach. It was were the 'settlers' of Port Macquarie declared the area as Port Macquarie and owned by the British. It is an excellent view point, a good choice.Read more
