Walking the city

Today I left the hotel with the intention to explore the city. First stop was the old national Egyptian museum and I decided to reach it by metro. The green line was just opened 2 months ago and works nicely. Unlike the museum which looks as old as the pyramids. But the objects are just mind-blowing. From tut ench amun to the oldest statue in Egypt its all there.

I then walked all the way to al azhira Park passing the suk and al suleiman and al alzhira mosque. Made friends with a local and we had mint tea n with a lot of kids taking pics. Another beautiful day in CairoRead more
