Golf at St Andrews & a bit of family hi

    31. august, Skottland ⋅ 🌬 20 °C

Headed off early to the birth place of golf, St Andrews. Played our best game ever, on a very windy course ( Mark- 5 pars Janine - 4 pars). As told by a local it’s a must to finish the 18th with a wee nip of whiskey. In keeping with the history theme, our next stop was Dundee where my Dads parents lived until coming to Australia. They both worked in the jute mill, my nanna from the age of 12. We found their homes and the church they were married in (1906) were still standing. Pretty tough life for the workers back in the day.Les mer
