• Perfection.

    13 agosto 2020, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

    Was going sight seeing today.
But why travel when you have perfection right at your doorstep?
    25 degrees.
Not a cloud in the sky.

Emily and I walked the beach in the morning after I had put a load of washing in.
    The beach was magnificent.
Met many of the same people and their dogs on our walk.
We are all really getting to know the familiar faces ( both human and dog.)

    Emily worked til noon.
( Because of Covid, not a lot of work for her.)

After a hasty ‘wrap’ lunch, it was into the wetsuits and off to the lake.
    Still no sandbars.
Water barely making it’s way to the sea.
That’s how I like it, as it turns out.
You are paddling in some areas in 6 inches of water.

Emily saw a stingray from her higher vantage point on her paddle board.
I had heard that sometimes they are able to make their way into the lake.
We decided they were probably OK.

    We went out twice today.
And jumped in the surf as well.
    Not really a swim yet.
More waist deep as I has to hold Lacey above the waves.
If we go tomorrow, we will leave her in the bus.

Being on the lake was sensational.
And so great that we can now go together.
Paddling for a while and then just letting the flow of the water take us.
It was flowing towards the sea.
    Just can’t quite get out..

Sat around camp in bathers and towels.
    This is camping!

Amazed at how different the evenings are.
I usually camp at Phillip Island during Daylight Savings.
    Light till 8.30 - 9 o’clock.
Here it is dark at 6pm.
We usually then just head to our separate vans.

But I am late blogging tonight.
    It’s 9.10pm.

Sensational, sunny, kayaking, paddle boarding, sitting round camp day.
    Perfection.

    Xxx
