    Lazy Wednesday

    19. august 2020, Australien ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

    Hate to say this ...
But I had to look at yesterday’s blog to figure out what day it was.
And as it turned out.... yesterday was actually Tuesday.
    Haha.

    Yep.
    Camping is hard.

    Up at 8am.
    Magnificent day.
    24 degrees.
Walked along the beach into Woopi.
Wanted to sign that petition to object to high rises here.
Did that and chatted to the couple we met yesterday ...
    Emily bought a smoothie.
And back along the beach to camp.

In the meantime, Daryl had delivered my bamboo topper for my bed.
So had fun making the bed up with that.

As I had so many pieces to my mattress ... foam mattress, egg carton type foam topper, sleeping bag to stop any chill from under the bed and then a sheet ... it was always hard to get everything in place.
This bamboo topper came with it own elastic edging so once the topper was in place, the elastic sides cover and tuck in under all my other stuff and just keep everything as one mattress.
    Brilliant.

    Seems very comfortable.
Am laying on the bed as I write.

Lacey was a bit upset to come in tonight.
Emily has joined a ‘friend’ group and has a girl, Crystal over for dinner.
Lacey thought she should stay and help entertain.

    Turned very windy this afternoon.
Took the sun shelter down just in case.

    People moved in behind me.
This man was determined to get back right to the edge of the site.
    Nearly ran over my kayak!
And that is on my site.
    Fun to watch though.
    After I moved the kayak...

    Daryl rang.
I am off to Grafton with him tomorrow.
    Really looking forward to that.

The ‘petition’ couple called in after dark to check out the bus and van.
    Had a great chat.

Talked to lots of people in the park and on the beach.
    Very friendly place.

Emily has decided to take over my site when I leave.
Much nicer than her site that is just a square piece of grass.
Fine as we have the 2 sites together at the moment.
But not much for when she is on her own.
This site has the magnificent fig tree that will give her shade... and a lovely outlook.
Lots of people also walk past this site and stop to chat.

    That’s it, I think.

    Update on the Director’s Chair.
    Still not here.
The complaints department of the courier company seem to be avoiding me.

    Xxx
