    Lovely Monday

    18 de agosto de 2020, Australia ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

    What is normal now.
    Up about 8.30am.
Off for a long walk along the beach.
Turned left so crossed the creek and onwards along the beach.
Met up with our doggy friends.
    Everyone had a play.
Also met a couple near the creek who had stopped to say hello to Lacey on the deck yesterday.
They were heading to Brisbane but Covid stopped them so they have had to stay in their family holiday house in Woolgoolga.
Their Grandfather bought the land in 1940 ... and paid £500 for it then.
    And built a house.
They have been coming for family holidays here forever.
They were looking to move to Brisbane from Melbourne.
Now ... they are thinking that country NSW is magnificent.
    Woolgoolga especially.

    It is just paradise.

Went to Mitre 10 and Emily bought a fan for Bumper.
It is getting a bit warm up here.
And because she has her cat Winston inside the bus, she can only open the windows with the security guard flywire on them.

So we sat and mulled this over.
I can just open the back door of Tin Tin and get a magnificent breeze through.
    So ....
“You could get a guy to come out and install more security fly screens on all the windows”
    Or...
“They must sell that somewhere. We could do it ourselves”
    Or ...
“What about inserts for the open windows to stop Winston getting out, but let the breeze through?”
    So...
    Off to Bunnings in Coffs.
( They are open up here, you know.)

    The photos show the results.
Every window now open, including those in the cabin, and cat proof!

The breeze through the bus was so good, Emily had to shut some of the windows!
    Absolutely brilliant result!!!!
    Safe cat.
    And cool bus.

And for no money at all.
    Do it yourself!
    We love it.
Did have to buy a pair of wire cutters though.
    That hurt.
    But so worth the result.

Matteo and Jessie called in after their trial for the jobs.
They were both offered positions so they are thrilled.
But they will be moving to a caravan park in Coffs to be close to work.
    We will miss them.
The place they are working, the company has 500 venues around Australia so fantastic for them.
They will be able to get jobs at any of these places now as they travel around.

    Lovely night.
Mum going well for her first full day at home.
Emily sorted out a few Netflix shows she should enjoy so she was excited about those.

My bamboo mattress topper has arrived at a Daryl’s.
Will go and pick that up tomorrow.
Just trying to upgrade my sleeping experience.
I am comfortable but Emily swears by hers so I thought it worth a try.
( My right shoulder may thank me.)

Have been waiting more than 2 weeks for the delivery of my Captain’s chair.
    Not happy Jan.

    Bought WD40.
    (That hurts as well)
    Oiled my sliding van door...
    Slides magnificently now.
Also put wedges under the deck...
It stops banging against the back door as I drive now.
Possibly could have thought of that before but good things come to those that wait.

    Bed.....

    Xxxx
