Drove up to Santa Fe today. There was a little bit of snow on the mountains as we were driving in. We had New Mexico’s best green chili cheeseburger in Madrid and spent the evening Santa Fe’s new interactive art exhibit Meow Wolf. We ended our day with pick up dinner and sopapillas!Read more

Day 6: Taos

Pictures don’t do this place justice! Today has been full of breath taking views and all things Longmire. We started our morning by driving up to Valles Caldera to see Walt’s cabin in Longmire. We next headed to Taos for some glamping. Our day has been full of beautiful mountains and scenes from our favorite show.

Bonus: NM Glamping

Our Airbnb was too cute to not get its own footprint. Tonight we are staying in a vintage yellow 1950’s camper. The inside is decked out in the cutest 70s vintage decor. The best part is the trailer park comes with its own “guard dog” Mildred the potbelly pig is the queen of the trailer park.Read more

Day 7: Ruidoso

We were sad to leave Taos this morning. We had one last stop at a farm to table breakfast spot. Then we headed to Ruidoso. We made a pit stop in Las Vegas NM to see where our favorite show Longmire was filmed. When we got to Ruidoso we had another green chili cheeseburger then headed to our hotel. Our surprise for the night was that we got upgraded on the President suite. We have been super lucky on this trip!Read more

Day 8: Road to Carlsbad

Today was a very low key day. We slept in this morning. Enjoyed our last few hours in our presidential suite and lake view. Then we headed to the Village Buttery for an amazing early lunch before hitting the road. They were famous for their buttermilk pie. It did not disappoint! Then we hit the road to Carlsbad, stopping halfway in Roswell. Roswell is famous for it’s alien folklore but doesn’t have a lot going on but was a fun pit stop. When we arrived in Carlsbad we walked around the Living Desert Zoo before turning in early. It’s 90 degrees here!Read more

Day 9: Carlsbad

Today we hit two national parks! We started our morning by exploring Carlsbad National Park. The caves were incredible! We then headed to Guadalupe National park. We are also squeezing in as much green chili as we can before leaving tomorrow!Read more
