Hong kong (Jour 1)

Fraîchement arrivé à Hong Kong, je découvre une ville où gratte-ciel futuristes et temples sereins cohabitent comme si de rien n’était.

Je commence par l’un des temples les plus célèbres de la ville : encens, couleurs vibrantes, statues étincelantes…
Et la particularité du lieu ?
Il est réputé pour exaucer tous les vœux.

Ensuite, changement total d’ambiance :
le Jardin Nan Lian, parfaitement découpé au millimètre près.
Je m’y balade, apaisé, en oubliant complètement que je suis toujours au cœur d’une mégapole.

Juste en face, l’impressionnant Chi Lin Nunnery. Bois sculpté, lotus, pavillons reliés par des passerelles… Un endroit tellement calme qu’on entend presque ses propres pensées.

Je file ensuite vers la fameuse Clock Tower, vestige du vieux terminus ferroviaire.
Elle se dresse toute seule, même entourée des buildings modernes, un petit bout d’histoire qui refuse de bouger.

Je termine par Victoria Peak, évidemment.
Hong Kong s’illumine comme un arbre de Noël.

Freshly arrived in Hong Kong, I jump straight into a day mixing temples, gardens, history, and one of the most jaw-dropping skylines in the world.

I start at the legendary temple known for granting wishes. Incense fills the air, the colors explode, and the whole place feels alive.

Next stop: the perfectly manicured Nan Lian Garden. Every tree is trimmed with more care than I usually give to my own schedule.
Walking here feels like my brain finally found its “silent mode.”

Across the bridge is the serene Chi Lin Monastery, wooden architecture, lotus ponds, symmetry everywhere.
It’s so peaceful I almost heard myself think.

Back to the city for the Clock Tower, the last piece of the old railway station.
It stands proudly among modern skyscrapers like an elderly gentleman refusing to retire.

I end the day with Victoria Peak.
