Île de Cô Tô

Avant de rejoindre Hanoï, j’ai fait une pause de deux jours sur l’île de Cô Tô, au nord du Vietnam. Un endroit paisible, parfait pour ralentir le rythme et profiter de la mer.

Je pars explorer l’île tranquillement : routes calmes, plages presque désertes, ambiance détendue.
Cô Tô est encore préservée du tourisme de masse, et ça se ressent immédiatement.
Ici, le temps semble s’écouler plus lentement… et franchement, ça fait du bien.

L’un des objectifs était de monter jusqu’au phare de Cô Tô, réputé pour offrir une vue panoramique sur l’île et la mer.
Mais le destin, sous forme de deux chiens très convaincants, en a décidé autrement.
Position stratégique, regard déterminé, aboiements clairs : message reçu.
Demi-tour discret, dignité préservée.

Heureusement, l’île m’a largement consolé avec deux superbes couchers de soleil.
Ciel doré, reflets sur la mer, silence presque total.

Before heading to Hanoi, I spent two days on Cô Tô Island, in northern Vietnam. A peaceful place, perfect for slowing down and enjoying the sea.

I wandered around the island at a relaxed pace: quiet roads, nearly empty beaches, calm atmosphere.
Cô Tô is still largely untouched by mass tourism, and it shows.
Time seems to slow down here… and honestly, it feels great.

One of my goals was to reach the Cô Tô lighthouse, famous for its panoramic views over the island and the sea.
However, fate in the form of two very convincing dogs, had other plans.
Strategic positioning, determined looks, loud barking: message received.
Quiet retreat, dignity intact.

Luckily, the island made up for it with two stunning sunsets.
Golden skies, reflections on the water, near-total silence.
Sitting there watching the horizon, I realized that missing a lighthouse isn’t such a big deal when you gain moments like these.Meer informatie
