Day trip to Auld Reekie!

So Andy presented the boys with an interesting idea yesterday, which they ran with... Instead of mooching around Glasgow's shops and parks for another day, let's go over to Edinburgh and see the Castle, the Royal Mile, Princes Street Gardens and the Scott Monument. We hadn't factored in the flooding from a torrential storm which battered the Eastern half of the country and left lots of train services cancelled, so it took us a bit longer than anticipated to get there, but we triumphed. Should've packed hats as yet again the forecast completely underestimated the weather. Did all the above, plus lunch in the Elephant Café, souvenir shopping for whisky (Andy) and medieval weaponry (Thomas), and best of all was a meetup with Margaret, Mike, Kevin and Elliott.Leia mais
