• Saturday 27 June Loch Goil to Rothesay

    June 27 in Scotland ⋅ 🌧 17 °C

We were up and off early this morning, slipping from our blue visitor mooring at around 0700 with the wind howling from the south, so pretty much on the nose all the way. 30 knots of wind and a really choppy sea made for a bumpy passage, but we arrived in Rothesay after about 6 hours. Zavaroni’s fish and chips, consumed in The Golfers Inn and washed down with a pint of something nice, then topped off with a ‘Wee Zöe’s’ ice cream. The 3 course lunch of heroes. Actually the weather was a bit chilly, so we drifted back onboard and hunkered down with hot tea and a good book each. (are we getting old? Answers on a postcard not required.)Read more
