Sutri / Lake Bracciano (IT)

Unplanned stop at a Roman amphitheater carved into tufa rock that dates back to the end of the 2nd century and could seat up to nine thousand people.

At the same site, also visited a church, Maddona del Parto, dating back to the 13th century, also entirely excavated into the tufa rock. From outside there is nothing that reveals the presence of a church.

Fortunate enough to finish today's cycle at another lake, Lake Bracciano. Campsite again is right on the shore of the lake.Read more
