    Sutri / Lake Bracciano (IT)

    August 9, 2017 in Italy ⋅ ⛅ 34 °C

Unplanned stop at a Roman amphitheater carved into tufa rock that dates back to the end of the 2nd century and could seat up to nine thousand people.

At the same site, also visited a church, Maddona del Parto, dating back to the 13th century, also entirely excavated into the tufa rock. From outside there is nothing that reveals the presence of a church.

Fortunate enough to finish today's cycle at another lake, Lake Bracciano. Campsite again is right on the shore of the lake.

Glad you made this detour as most impressive. What a wonderful campsite again and love seeing all the plants that brighten the narrow "roads" between the buildings. Well today (10th) you should reach your destination Rome. WELL DONE. (remembering Mops today) Tops
