Balcony House, Mesa Verde National Park

First stop in Mesa Verde was at the park Museum to get tickets to the Balcony House tour. We learned that it is possible to take Patrick on the tour as long as he could crawl through the tunnels on his own. If we carried him in a backpack up the ladders, that was fine, too! Huge bonus!

This tour has a 32 foot ladder to get you started followed by a tunnel with a four foot ladder inside, a ladder that climbs up onto the rocks and behind a building, more fun tunnels and ladders to get you back up to the plateau. It was amazing! Patrick wasn't as interested in the historical information, but he and the rest of us loved the tunnels and ladders. A great morning adventure!
