Unexpected murals in Bolingbrook

One of my favorite parts of traveling? The art you don’t expect to find!

While starting out on my route 66 adventure, I decided to pull in and grab an iced tea at the Dunkin’ Donuts drive-through in Bolingbrook Illinois. Something caught my eye behind the cocina 53 restaurant just across the lot. There were three color from murals took away like hidden gems, waiting to be discovered.

Each one brought its own personality, vibrant colors, playful, details, and creative energy that made me hit the brakes and walk over for a closer look. They felt like a joyful surprise in a space you’d never think to search for art

It’s a good reminder: keep your eyes open. Beauty is everywhere, especially in the places you almost passed by.
