Ruteng -> Sten Lodge

No sunrise walk today - too tired but a lovely breakfast at about 8. Set off around 9 to visit the spider web rice fields that we had missed on the way here due to rain. Just a short walk to a view point and a great view - the rice fields are laid out like a spiderweb which is pretty cool. Tried to find a waterfall nearby but unsuccessfully- think we would have had to drive down a non paved road.

So back on the road- 100km to cover today to a small place in the hills before Labuan Bajo. Pretty easy driving- stopped for lunch halfway and enjoyed the stunning views- this island really is beautiful! Got to Sten Lodge about 3.30 which is a small garden/farm place with 5 bungalows and nothing else! Chickens, goats and cats were fun o play with! We were the only people staying so we chilled in the hammocks and then headed just up the road for sunset. Back for dinner which was beautiful, and the electricity was off quite early so early night!Читать далее
