Day 27 - zero in Wrightwood

Zero days are a nice change of pace from the normal hiking days, but they aren't all fun and games. It takes some time to get the laundry done (clean clothes are amazing), resupply, and layout a plan for the next segment. One big accomplishment from today, I found the hole in my airpad and hopefully have it repaired. 😀 😀

After the chores are done, then it is pretty much fun and games. 😃 Eating a lot of food is definitely a part of the town routine. I'm definitely getting an appetite to just eat as much as I can. Several of the towns along the way offer some freebies for hikers. Here in Wrightwood I enjoyed a delicious free hot dog. Of all things, I also joined my hiking 'tramily' (trail family) for a free one hour yoga class. Hmmm I thought yoga was supposed to be relaxing.

Time on the trail also brings a whole new appreciation for sleeping on a regular bed and taking a warm shower. Possibly the best part of being in town is meeting new hikers and catching up with people I haven't seen out on the trail for a while. The hiker community and culture is a lot of fun.Baca lagi
